Paying to learn. Sigh!

A good friend in urgent need of funds recently sold some shares she owned. As is the practice with such matters, she engaged the services of a broker to consummate the transaction. At the end of it all, she was broken-hearted to discover that the go-between had sold her short, thus causing her to lose a tidy sum in the process. On complaining to me, the only words of comfort I could offer were: "Now you know why they call them 'brokers'!"

Settling this "stray bullet" issue once and for all.

Um! What is a "stray bullet"?

I can cotton to the idea of "stray dog", "stray cat", "stray cattle", even "stray person". Such strays have marked domains, but, because they're alive, to varying degrees also have minds of their own, thus, from their domains may turn this way or that.

But, "stray bullet"? A bullet is an inanimate thing. How, then, can a bullet stray? Any suggestions?

Just in case Patrick is manure fomenting.

Earlier, I'd commented that PM Patrick Manning was not manure fomenting when he sounded the alarum for General Elections. [See: http://kid5rivers.blogspot.com/2010/03/mannings-general-election-alarum.html]

On reflection and, seeing as his history strongly supports the idea that he might be out to lunch ---eh, Peter?--- there is a real possibility that, in alerting the nation as he did, he might very well have been taking us for a ride, thus, bulls...ting!

Therefore, just in case PM Manning was indeed up to his usual fresh-manure dabbling, we might as well go ahead and ratify his title by henceforth declaring him to be the first PM of all of Trinidad and Tobago ---"PM" there signifying: "Prime Manurist".

It goes without saying that, only because Patrick Manning has been shitting sitting on the throne, the post of Prime Manurist was created! Hence, upon PM Manning demitting office, it shall become redundant.

Manning's General Election alarum.

Some may be of the view that led-by-a-seerwoman Patrick was bullshitting when he sounded the knell for PNM stormtroopers to ready themselves for General Election battle.

I think he's bulshitting not!

Rationale:
The man's under tremendous pressure, from within and without his own party, to abdicate; by going to the polls he would preempt having to do that in a dishonourable way.

Therefore, as I've been all along saying, what needs must be done is: quickly, relentlessly, to crank up the pressure on him, so that, indeed, sooner, rather than later, we return to the polls to select a new government administration. See how to do that by reviewing what I said in my Kilkaytay blog of Nov 19 2008 ---click here >>the part about Walesa<<.]

If only the then leadership of the Party had listened, sigh!

And, while you're at it, also read what I wrote on March 6 2010 ---click here >>check the penultimate paragraph<<

Next Step:It is now beyond dispute that Sister Kamla is the best divining rod to tap the humongous and very deep anti-PNM sentiment into a long-sought potent coalescence. The portents from on high and on Earth all promise that, with Sister Kamla at the helm and continuing her carefully-crafted path, a bigger cuttail for the PNM than 1986 lies around the bend.

But portents, as we know, wait on no man...or woman.

Shutting down to shut out MLPNM: A small price to pay.

So what if: "The plan by the Public Services Association (PSA) to have Board of Inland Revenue and Customs and Excise workers take two consecutive days of rest on March 31 and April 1 will inconvenience businesses in the country and ultimately consumers as well.."????

The idea behind the shutdown is to turn up the pressure on a runaway train called "Manning-led People's National Movement [M-LPNM] government" ---to prevent it from utterly wrecking this once beautiful place called "Trinidad and Tobago".

Though the Public Services Association [PSA] call to arms for March 31 and April 1, 2010 is prompted by the high-handed M-LPNM's thrust to convert the public service ---and the public--- into forces more pliant to the M-LPNM's selfish directives, the call is one which resonates, as it ramajays the mood of the vast majority of citizens who are more than prepared to shut down to shut out MLPNM!

In any event, if MLPNM is spooked at what is to come, it means that the insightful person residing/presiding at Juliana.Pena@Guanapo.com has already whispered of it into the ear of the inspired one. Which is good.

Basdeo? Or, "Basedeo"?

That he whose long warning has been that: "Whilst the PNM exists and is in charge, then Trinidad and Tobago will be in a rut!" will join with the said PNM against the UNC ---the party he co-founded--- suggests that it's time his name be changed. Henceforth, thus, he must be known far and wide as "Basedeo", no longer as "Basdeo", as there be no baser act than to turn against your own kith and kin when they strive to do good.

Don't know about you, but I was not not at all surprised, or disappointed, about Basedeo's latest obturation, when, clearly, endorsement was required, as, to him, politics has it's own morality.

All the same, I'm calling out those three of the UNC ---Ramesh sold out himself with a handshake--- who, yesterday, in the House of Representatives, temporarily frustrated the will of the people by their failing to endorse the new Opposition Leader’s effort to have Government urgently answer, if it could, to the allegations against UDeCOTT Chairman Calder Hart. I'm exposing them because, except to the uninitiated, it's clear that they're on a death-wish mission ---to force the new UNC to expel them. And, what could be their reason for their now embracing kamikaze?  Well, once expelled from the UNC, they would be free to launch a new political party, for they prefer to be in a pond by themselves, father than lurk in one where their dominion has diminished. Matters not to then that such selfish interest, once realized, shall fracture and frustrate all recently-releavened hope of one solid phalanx henceforth confronting the PNM nemesis.

But I have news for that trio: "We, the people, will have none of it! We've come too far to be beaten back! We're not gonna permit anything or anyone ---except Sister Kamla herself-- to derail Sister Kamla's train, for we, the people, know how to muster, à la Solidarność!"

A word to the wise is sufficient . Until otherwise I say, "the wise" include Basedeo, Ramath and Ramesh.

I is a seer too, Mr. Manning! So! Take note!

I is a seer too, Mr. Patrick Manning ---my gift enables me to look at naturally-occurring events and foretell what, next, will hit on the homefront.

Previously, of the January 24, 2010 United National Congress (UNC) National Executive (NATEX) elections, I'd predicted that Sister Kamla would prevail in a landslide and that those who adamantly opposed her leadership bid wouldn't know what hit them. She did win, by a margin of ten to one. And, since her victory, the former leader of the United National Congress (UNC) has been in a stupor. That bit of clairvoyance regarding Sister Kamla was derived from what happened in Haiti on January 12th last, when the Port-au-Prince bastion of male domination collapsed in ruins, in the process, knocking the incumbent Haitian President senseless.

I is a seer too, Mr. Manning! So, take note:

Out of deep sleep I just was jolted by a dream. The reverie was of yesterday's Chilean shakeup, when buildings designed and built to last forever, collapsed, like ninepins, unable to withstand the mighty repercussions of long-welling kinetic energy. Sitting bolt upright in bed, the portent to Trinidad and Tobago at once came to me. It was that the downfall of the People's National Movement at the next elections shall occur, for that is when the rapidly-converging mass discontent over your despotic rule will peak to release its pent-up frustration in a way that will forever shatter the invincibility of the PNM.

Like I said, I is a seer too, Mr. Manning! So! Take note! For The Lord giveth and The Lord taketh away! Blessed be the name of The Lord!
